Today we have 7 new releases for customers. Beta 6 just got updated to build 498 for most platforms including Mac OS X, MorphOS, Linux/PPC, BeOS/Zeta and eComStation. This build sports improved history, improved fonts handling and support for new languages. After 2 weeks of testing it will be released as a demo version to public.
From the other news, Pixel will be available on CDs at WarpStock Europe 2005. Warpstock is a conference that is dedicated to operating systems and technology based on IBM’s OS/2 and Serenity System’s eComStation. Warpstock conferences are held around the world. There is one in the United States of America and also one in the Czech Republic, and of course, there is Warpstock Europe. This years Warpstock Europe will be held in Dresden, Germany, from November 18th to 20th.
Update: Pixel 1.0 Beta 6 build 499 Demo for FreeBSD/x86 was released silently (this one was built on fresh new FreeBSD 6.0). Enjoy!

Hi Pavel,
I tried to download the new beta of Pixel for MorphOS but I cant find it. On download page is only the version from April 2005! Can you please tell me how to proceed. Also I helped a friend of mine (his name is Christian Schaechtelin) to buy Pixel for MorphOS and I was suprised that there wasn’t even a screenshot of MorphOS version on your internet page where one can buy Pixel for MorphOS. Just to let you know but there are 2 further people who are going to purchase Pixel for MorphOS.
Thanks in advance for your reply and best regards
Christoph

Regarding keys, there were some bugs in PPC code preventing Pixel to work with old keys. Just e-mail, it’s a 2 minutes issue.
About morph.ini file, it’s a limitation in compiler and you probably didn’t read release notes. It’s clearly stated there: do not run from MUI, use shell command prompt. Otherwise Pixel doesn’t know where is it started from and cannot find it’s files.

Release notes are at download page. Just few sentences to read before downloading. Nothing big

There are graphical bugs with mouse pointer when using drawing tools, like circles for example (MorphOs Radeon7500).
Cut a brush and move it on the the picture is possible only 1 time here.

That’s a bug in PowerSDL, please make sure to download latest version of this library.

My PowerSDL version is the last one -> 11.4.
If I try to draw a rectangle, the mouse pointer cuts the right bottom corner of it.
The other problem is with the selection tool.
1- Draw a rectangle.
2- Use the selection to cut it in two parts.
3- Use the move tool to move the selection part on the screen.
It works, but the second time, it doesn’t work !

Still it’s a bug in PowerSDL, I can’t do anything about it. You know who should fix it
It works fine, just watch your current layer and you’ll see what’s happening. Anyway you should rather e-mail me and attach screenshot, I may be wrong…
